The After 5.0 gang met at Oscar's Mexican Restaurant in Haltom City Saturday evening for Mexican food, a few good drinks, and a lot of laughs. January birthdays were celebrated - including Vicki, Phil, Bob, who were in attendance; as well as Connie, Betsy, and Pat who were not there. Ken and Mary Ann had a "friendly" fight over the number of cherries in their drinks; one margarita got knocked over into a basket of chips (made GOOD chips!), and the gang kept the waiter hopping - requesting fresh drinks, more chips, corn tortillas, etc. The waiter was charming, the food was good, and the room was large enough to hold our big crowd. There were about 25 folks in attendance. If you weren't there, we missed you and we hope you'll join us at the next event!! Thanks to our host Butch Ritchey for hosting a fantastic Super Bowl Party at his home. We had around 40 people present. The party included Butch's famous brisket, delicious chili from Joan Lanford, great tamales from Pam Thomas and much, much more food. A good time was had by all......there was (what we thought) a simple Super Bowl Trivia game played......but apparently no one else thought it was simple as no one knew all the answers - so no winners there......but we did call plenty of "Penalties" during the game for various reasons like: Blocking the TV, Not watching the commercials, personal fouls, unsportsmanlike conduct, yelling too loud, not yelling enough - you get the picture.....The "refs" Sandy Lavake, Vicki Britt and Teresea Adcock got plenty of use out of those whistles! If you missed it, you missed a great party.

The Valentine Party hosted by Vicki Britt was a huge success. There were over 70 in attendance; a lot of After 5.0 friends and lots of new faces. So much food!! It just kept coming! And lots of music, dancing, games, laughing and all 'round good fun. The room was a perfect place for a party of this size, and decorated very nicely. If you missed this one, you missed a really nice time! Please plan to join us really soon.
